If you’re preparing to leave your team and you have a linked family account

When you’re part of a team that uses 1Password Business, you get a complimentary 1Password Families membership. If you leave your team, you can unlink your family account and add a payment method to keep using it. Learn more about the cost for 1Password Families.

Start your subscription for your family account

To start your subscription for your family account:

1. Sign in to your business account.
2. Click your name in the top right and choose My Profile.
3. In the Free 1Password Families Membership section, click Unlink Account.
4. Add a payment method before the complimentary trial period ends.

If you want to upgrade to 1Password Teams or switch to an individual account, you can change your 1Password account type.

Get help

If you don’t have access to your business account, wait for an email from 1Password letting you know your family account has been unlinked. Then, add a payment method to start a subscription for your family account.
