When you’re part of a team that uses 1Password Business, you get a complimentary 1Password Families membership. If you leave your team, you can unlink your family account and add a payment method to keep using it. If you don’t add a payment method, your account will revert to the 14-day complimentary trial period. Your account will freeze after that time, until you add a payment method.

Start your subscription for your family account
To start your subscription for your family account:
- Sign in to your business account on 1Password.com.
- Select your name in the top right, then select Manage Account.
- In the Free 1Password Families Membership section, click Unlink Account.
- Add a payment method before the 14-day complimentary trial period ends.
If you want to upgrade to 1Password Teams or switch to an individual account, you can change your 1Password account type.
Get help
If you don’t have access to your business account, wait for an email from 1Password letting you know your family account has been unlinked. Then, add a payment method to start a subscription for your family account.
