OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise

Connect ChatGPT Enterprise to 1Password SaaS Manager to track usage, spend, and access.

To view account activity or AI usage information for OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise in 1Password SaaS Manager, you’ll need to set up a SCIM integration and create an Admin API key with access to compliance logs, so SaaS Manager can start recording information.

Step 1: Set up a SCIM integration

For SaaS Manager to associate account activity or AI usage data with specific users, you’ll need to connect SaaS Manager as a custom SCIM implementation in ChatGPT Enterprise.

As a user with Owner access in your ChatGPT Enterprise environment, follow these steps. Select Custom SCIM as the directory provider, then finish setting up the integration. Save the SCIM URL and token you receive in your secrets manager, so you can access it later.

Important

If you already have a SCIM token in use with another identity provider, like Okta or Entra ID, you can reuse the same token in SaaS Manager.

If you follow the above steps to set up a new custom SCIM integration, you’ll rotate your existing SCIM token, so you’ll also need to update your identity provider with the new token.

By default, SaaS Manager only reads the user data from the SCIM integration. If you don’t have an existing identity provider, you can choose to turn on provisioning and/or deprovisioning in step 3.

Step 2: Create an Admin API key

SaaS Manager uses an Admin API key from ChatGPT Enterprise with access to the Compliance Logs Platform to record account activity and AI usage information.

To create an API key with proper access to compliance logs, follow the steps in the OpenAI documentation.. Make sure to give the key Read access for the Compliance logging platform scope.

After you create the key, save it in your secrets manager so you can access it later.

Step 3: Set up the ChatGPT Enterprise integration in SaaS Manager

  1. Sign in to SaaS Manager and navigate to Integrations > OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise.
  2. Select Connect, then enter the following details:
    • Base URL: Paste the SCIM URL from step 1.
    • Bearer token: Paste the SCIM token from step 1.
    • ChatGPT Admin API key: Paste the Admin API key from step 2.
    • Workspace UUID: (Optional) Learn more about when to include workspace UUIDs.
  3. Select the checkboxes for the features you want to turn on:
    • Account activity: To record account activity.
    • Provisioning: To turn on account provisioning.
    • Deprovisioning: To turn on account deprovisioning.
    • AI Consumption: To record AI usage data.
  4. Select Connect.

  3. Sign in to SaaS Manager and navigate to Integrations > OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise.
