Learn about the permissions 1Password requests on your iPhone or iPad, and how it uses them.

To use some features in 1Password for iOS, you’ll need to grant it access to certain types of data:

Allow websites to request access to your location in the 1Password browser.
Save photos and videos in 1Password.
Local Network
Use the WLAN server to sync standalone vaults.
Scan your Setup Code or QR codes to use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication. Or take a photo or video to save in 1Password.
Face ID
Unlock 1Password with Face ID.
Siri & Search
Show the 1Password app and item and vault names when you search from the Home screen.
Show notifications for one-time passwords, Watchtower, and changes to vault access on your Home screen, Lock screen, and in Notification Center.
Background App Refresh
Keep 1Password up to date in the background, so you can access items created on other devices when you use AutoFill, the 1Password for Safari, or search from the Home screen without opening the 1Password app.
