About iOS and iPadOS privacy settings and 1Password

Learn about the permissions 1Password requests on your iPhone or iPad, and how it uses them.

To use some features in 1Password for iOS, you’ll need to grant it access to certain types of data:

Save photos and videos in 1Password.
Scan your Setup Code or QR codes to use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication. Or take a photo or video to save in 1Password.
Face ID
Unlock 1Password with Face ID.
Show notifications for one-time passwords on your Home screen, Lock screen, and in Notification Center.
Background App Refresh
Keep 1Password up to date in the background, so you can access items created on other devices when you use Autofill or 1Password for Safari without opening the 1Password app.
Cellular Data
Allow 1Password to use cellular data.
