Configure high DPI settings for 1Password 4 for Windows

Adjusting the size of items on a high-resolution display above 100% or 125% can make text easier to read, but it can make text blurry in 1Password 4.

To resolve this in Windows 8 or later:

  1. Quit 1Password.

  2. Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\1Password 4.

  3. Right-click 1Password.exe, then select Properties.

  4. Select the Compatibility tab.

  5. Select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings, then select OK.

  6. Right-click Agile1pAgent.exe, then select Properties.

Agile1pAgent selected, with the right-click menu open highlighting Properties

  7. Select the Compatibility tab.

  8. Select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings, then select OK.

the Agile1pAgent Properties window open to the Compatibility tab, with ‘Disable display scaling on high DPI settings’ checked

  9. Open 1Password, then select Help > Restart 1Password Helper.
