1Password classic extension

Use the 1Password classic extension to save a login manually in your browser

Saving Logins manually can be helpful in some troubleshooting scenarios:

  • 1Password does not detect a new password or offer to save it.
  • A site that used to work with 1Password no longer fills in your information correctly.

Manually save a new Login item

Follow these steps to force 1Password to save new login information for any page that is not working properly with 1Password.

  1. Visit the sign-in page for the website where you want to save a Login item.

  2. Enter your username and password. Do not press Enter or click Sign In.

  3. Click the 1Password button in your browser. If 1Password is locked, enter your Master Password.

Click the 1Password button in your browser

  4. In 1Password, click the gear icon and choose New Login (or “Save new login” on Windows). Give your Login item a unique name, then click Save Login.
