App Launcher is a personalized hub in the browser where team members can view and launch managed apps. You can configure App Launcher to be the default new tab page in your team members browsers.
Requirements
To manage the App Launcher for your team, you’ll need to:
- Be in the Owners group in your 1Password Business account.
- Have the App Launcher policy turned on. By default, this policy is turned on.
- Make sure your team members have a beta release of the 1Password browser extension.
- Be using a built-in browser management tool or a third-party device management tool.
Set up new tab access
Tip
Without a new tab policy set to App Launcher, team members can only access the App Launcher page using this direct link.
To let team members access the App Launcher from a new tab in Chromium browsers like Chrome, Edge, or Brave, you must configure a new tab policy using your browser’s built-in management tool.

If your team uses Firefox or Safari, you can also configure new tab policies using a third-party device management tool.

After you’ve configured your new policy, App Launcher will be the default new tab page for team members using a beta 1Password browser extension.
Managed apps in App Launcher
All the managed apps available to your organization will be visible on the App Launcher page. These apps are sourced directly from your app catalog in Trelica. Team members can select the information icon on any managed app tile to learn more about the app or to request access if needed.
Team members can only sign-in to managed apps that have been assigned to them through Trelica. Learn how to manage access to apps in Trelica.
Team members can select Explore more apps at the bottom of the App Launcher page to browse the app catalog on Trelica and request access to managed apps.
