About Android privacy settings and 1Password

Learn about the permissions 1Password requests on your Android device, and how it uses them.

To use some features in 1Password for Android, you’ll need to grant it access to certain types of data:

Scan your Setup Code or QR codes to use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication.
Files and media
Sync a standalone vault with local storage, or export a standalone vault to local storage.

“Files and media” is called “Storage” in Android 10 and earlier.

“View network connections” to sync your 1Password data, “draw over other apps” to fill using Accessibility on Android 5–7, “run at startup”, “prevent device from sleeping”, and “control vibration”.
